Is the app available for iPad and iPhone?

Yes it is. The app is listed under iPhone but not under iPad apps in the app store and people might assume it can’t be used on iPad, but it works great. You can download the iphone app to your ipad and it will work fine. For us to list the app under iPad, it has to be “optimized” for iPad with greater graphics. Well, we’re not using pictures in the app so the only time you notice is if our opening picture of the lavender field is full size it’s not as sharp.

How do I download recipes?

At the top left corner, touch the drop-down menu. Choose “Tips” from the list. At the top of the page touch “Purchase Recipes.” A list of available recipes will appear. Touch “Purchase” and follow the instructions from Google Play to download. If you have already purchased, the button will say “Re-Install.”

Occasionally a user will complete the purchase but they do not see the recipes. Back out of the app and come back in to the “Purchase Recipes” and touch “Purchase” again. It will update and the button will change to “Re-Install.”  Once you’ve completed a purchase and have confirmation from Google Play, it will not charge you to reinstall.

How do I add to my essential oil inventory?

Go to Oils screen. Select the oil that you want to add to your inventory. At the top of the screen, select the User icon (looks like a person’s head and shoulders). Check box “In Inventory” and enter the how much you have on the ML on Hand line. To keep more accurate inventory, you may reduce the ML on Hand as you use your oils. Keep in mind it is approximately 10 drops per ML. Some find it easier to just add to the Wish List when it is getting low.

There is no actual “save” button. Once you’ve made your update use the “back” arrow to take you back to the oils list. Your entry will be saved.

How do I email my Wish List?

Go to Oils screen. Select Wish List from top drop-down menu. On the wish list screen, select icon in upper right corner that looks like 3 dots connected by 2 lines. It will drop down a menu. If you don’t see the email icon, select  “See all” and it will be further down the list. Touch the email icon and then you just need to put in an address to mail it to. I send it to myself so that when I am on my computer placing my order I have the list right there with the names and item numbers.

What is the difference between a Suggested Use and a Recipe?

They are very similar. However, while the Suggested Uses in the app under Concerns contain a lot of great information, they are more general and do not have option for adding user notes or formulations.

Recipes in the app are more specific as to the amounts, carrier and suggested application(s). Recipes also allow the user to add their own notes.
